Seven foot acrylic work delivered to Cedar
Mountain Rustic Furniture of Cumming, Georgia, in January
2007 (CLICK HERE). The bear was
painted on fiberboard, then cut out for mounting on a photomural.
I did sketches to prepare for the commission, some from
photographs taken over the years of the bears that visit and inspect things
on the deck outside of my studio.
Sketching for the Cedar
Mountain Bear led me to do a pair of 8" x
10" finished
pencil drawings. The one shown here was sold at a 2007 art show. The other
one (second drawing down, top of the page)
was sold at the charity auction kick-off event for the 2007
Big Canoe Tour of Homes a few days earlier. I did more after the first
pair of drawings sold, for example the one shown at the very top
of the page.*
